Telegraph - Five teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of terror offences in London.

The five men, all aged under 20, were arrested on Monday on suspicion of the preparation of terrorist acts, the Metropolitan Police said.

The arrests relate to plans to travel to join a proscribed organisation. Scotland Yard did not specify if the travel plans related to the Islamic State (Isil).

Police said the arrests follow searches at four residential addresses in London on Tuesday February 14.
On Monday morning, two males aged 16 and 17 were arrested at separate addresses in south London.

Two other teenagers - one aged 17 and another aged 19 - were arrested at an address in west London.

A further property was searched in Lambeth on Monday in connection with the investigation.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested on Monday evening in east London and officers are searching the address where he was arrested.

All five have been detained and are in a central London police station pending further inquiries.
